Gizmo ~ Needs Yet Another Operation.......

Gizmo's operation yesterday went very well, the specialist was very pleased with how it had gone and thank god Gizmo was in the 80% who didn't lose his sight during the operation.....

However this morning we got a phone call to say that they needed to operate again.

The operations Gizmo has been having involve cutting into the eyeball and lasering the gland that produces the liquid that makes the eye swell, but not totally destroying it as the eye needs some liquid to be produced. The specialist's never know exactly how much of the gland to destroy and in Gizmo's case enough was not destroyed on Monday, so again today he is going to have his third operation since Monday and we are left waiting to see the outcome... I can't tell you how tough the last few days have been but i have had so many lovely messages and e-mails from all over the world wishing Gizmo well and a speedy recovery, it's so good to know that there are others that feel the same way about their pets, they do become part of the family and you often see them as one of your children, these two are definitely our children... Thank you so much for your kind wishes and prayers, if i could just ask you to keep your fingers crossed or say a prayer one more time for our precious little boy, i am sure that all that positive energy will have to have some effect.....

I promise to post another up-date tomorrow as soon as we know if he's come through OK...

I thought today i would post a picture of Gizmo before he started having problems with his eye's... thank you so much again guys for you kind comments and e-mails they really do mean a lot to us...
